Weekly Schedule Assignments/Homework Website Links
Basic Information
For those who are new to West Wilkes High School, our freshman Health and PE class is a graduation requirement. We have PE three days a week based on current sports seasons. All students who participate in athletics have the option to go to weightlifting on PE days while students who do not participate in athletics have a traditional PE class with me. All students have health class two days a week. These days are subject to change due to weather or special guest speakers.
Students can purchase a West Wilkes PE department uniform set for $20 that includes a t-shirt and shorts. If the student has access to PE uniform that was previous purchased, the student will be allowed to wear it.
During the semester we will participate in a variety of activities in PE such as volleyball, tennis, frisbee golf, basketball, gymnastics, fitness unit, and much more. In our health class we will study many units such as Substance Abuse and Prevention, Mental and Emotional Health, Nutrition and Physical Activity, Family Life and Sex Education, and Hunter Education. Our first unit will be an introductory unit to health.
